As the region experiences rapid growth and change, CCC is working to safeguard open spaces, restore critical waterways, and support agricultural producers—ensuring that future generations can enjoy the natural beauty and resources we love today.

Who They Are

Since 2001, Central Colorado Conservancy has been at the forefront of land and water conservation, protecting nearly 7,000 acres of private land through conservation easements and acquisitions. Their work ensures that working lands remain working, waterways stay healthy, and local wildlife habitats are preserved.

Through innovative projects like the Arkansas River Community Preserve (ARCP) and Badger Creek Watershed Partnership, CCC is creating a future where thriving communities and conservation go hand in hand.

What They’re Up To

From land preservation to watershed restoration, CCC is leading efforts to maintain the ecological health of our region. Some of their recent and ongoing projects include:

Protecting open spaces & wildlife habitats through land conservation agreements
Restoring critical waterways like the South Arkansas River & Badger Creek
Helping agricultural producers adopt climate-smart grazing practices
Expanding conservation efforts through their Hands for Lands volunteer program

Whether it's planting 16,000 willows, improving grazing management on thousands of acres, or creating new public lands, CCC is making an impact in every corner of Central Colorado.

Where the Moonlight Monday Funds Go

Funds raised during CCC’s Moonlight Monday will provide crucial unrestricted funding—allowing them to allocate resources where they’re needed most. As CCC expands its reach and staff capacity, this support will help protect more land, restore more waterways, and strengthen conservation efforts across the region.
