Who They Are

This chapter of Trout Unlimited works with local organizations and agencies to protect aquatic habitats, improve access to rivers and fishing, and educate the community on conservation practices. They offer a range of educational programs for youth and adults, all with the goal of fostering a deeper appreciation and responsibility for local watersheds.

What They’re Up To

From rehabilitating ponds at Monarch Park to installing an ADA-accessible fishing pier, the Collegiate Peaks Chapter has made significant strides in improving access to the outdoors. Their recent collaboration with the US Forest Service and other partners highlights their dedication to making fishing and conservation accessible to all community members.

They are currently in the design phase of a large restoration project on the lower 1.2-mile reach of the South Arkansas River as it runs through Salida, which will have a lasting impact on the local ecosystem and community.

Where the Moonlight Monday Funds Go

Funds raised during their Moonlight Monday will support the chapter’s youth education programs and their college scholarship program. Moonlight Pizza & Brewpub is proud to support their efforts, helping ensure the next generation learns the importance of conserving our local rivers and streams.
